Philosophy"My paintings are done in oil and oil glazes, built up over a period of time. Through my studies of art history, I'm aware of the various dynamic means available to give the painting a structural foundation. Living in the San Geronimo Valley in Marin County and walking and hiking in the woods and hills has given me my subject matter: nature, light, color, with an abstract matrix." Art Holman |
